Back in 2016, from September 12 to 29, dozens of E-Types drove around Britain for the noblest cause. Organised by Philip Porter and the E-Type Club, in support of Prostate Cancer UK, all Jaguar E-Types owners were called in to drive on a circumferential coastal route of mainland Britain, split into approximately 180 -mile stages and be driven sequentially by groups of E-types, akin to a relay.
It was the first time that something like this has ever been done, raising well over £60,000 for Prostate Cancer UK. Over 200 E-Types took part in the 18-day event with 70+ on the final day that concluded at Goodwood.
Peter Neumark, CMC’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, took part in a very special and early E-Type… Lofty England’s roadster Chassis No. 4, the first E-Type to be sold. He said: “It is really important to raise awareness and support organisations like Prostate Cancer UK. We were delighted to be able to help Philip and the E-Type Club with this fundraiser.”
