The car won the Best of Show award at the RAC’s 14th annual Midsummer Drive-In and Concours in June 2015.
Everything was dismantled down to the last nut bolt and washer, finding a modification by the previous owner to gain more legroom by cutting out the rear bulkhead to install the half-moon shape as in later E-Types. Unfortunately, he had this modification done in fiberglass, which bonded to the steel so the rear bulkhead lost a lot of its strength and virtually broke in half – CMC put it back to how it would have been originally.
Chassis No. 60 was the first E-Type restoration finished in our new facilities.
