Wishbones - Reconditioned
Everyone knows how the upper wishbones wear on all Jaguar E-Types because of the upper wishbone joint running directly through the wishbone. A temporary repair is to fit a new ball joint and re-shim to get rid of the wear, but in less than 1000 miles the joint will need re-shimming.
machine the wisbone to accept a more modern ball joint which runs in a nylon cup. Not only will the joint last for many years and tens of thousands of miles, but when it does eventually wear the only part that will need replacing is the nylon cup and ball. We can either supply the rebuilt wishbone complete and ready fit on an exchange basis at £175.00 each. Or alternatively for those who have access to a machine shop we can supply the ball joint, nylon cup, gaiter, shim and machining instructions.
